Poppy’s Ristorante is a popular restaurant located in Crystal City, Missouri. Our quaint Italian restaurant provides seating for 100.
Our elegant banquet center, Poppy’s Parlor, has seating for 70. We offer the same fabulous food in our banquet canter that has become infamous over the years in our restaurant. Call today to reserve your date.
History:
The original Quonset Inn; with night club, dining room, and bar opened its doors in fall of 1948. In 1952 eight bowling lanes were added. Then, in 1964, added four more lanes. Business was booming; but, on August 1, 1970 a fire took everything. Not to be discouraged, Pete Albano rebuilt a modern facility that housed 20 lanes, pro shop, grill, arcade, and opened for business in November, 1971. Poppy’s Parlor came along four years later on October 25, 1975. It was moved and expanded to its present location in the summer of 1981, and renamed Poppy’s Ristorante.
Our night club was wildly popular in the 80’s and 90’s.In the fall of 1997, our nightclub, Club Soda closed its doors. In the spring of 2002, after much planning and construction we were proud to open an elegant banquet center, Poppy’s Parlor.
